When I lived in NYC and worked in banking back in the late 80s, I went to a career counselor with the mission of finding work I enjoyed and thought was meaningful. Decades and several jobs later with a husband and two kids it was time to find a new path. After a ten-year stint of being a full-time parent, a job I totally loved, the financial crisis precipitated reentering the workforce. A friend encouraged me to pursue a fitness career, and I became a personal trainer. Thirteen years ago I didn’t know this would be it! I am so grateful to have work that I still love to do. Sometimes I can’t believe I get to do this! Spending time helping people I like get healthy and fit is really such a gift! I even wrote to my former therapist to let him know, it took a while but I did it!
Ten years ago when I opened the doors at 1051 Long Ridge, giving Inspire Fitness a home I was scared. How was I going to run a business? Now at the beginning of this new chapter, I am excited to create and grow. I have learned so much these years and I am eager to put what I’ve learned into action and expand my business. I want to reach more people because let’s face it, we could all use more movement, mindfulness, connection, and wellness! So for all those who have helped and supported me along the way and have been there at some point along this journey, a very heartfelt thank you!
